I had a friend remind me that it had been a while since I blogged. -- June 16 to be exact. Well life as been busy -- new job (Go Bulldogs), going back to school (Working on my Masters - Yea Me!!), and Family!!!!
So here are a few updates:
Zack HATED the new school - tolerates it now (& I think likes it sometimes), but will NEVER admit it to me.
Taylor tolerated the new school & is starting to like it
Both boys have pigs to show at the county show & Zack will show his at the San Angelo Stock Show. (Yes PIGS). They stay at the school, and we check on them everyday.
Here's a video Taylor made to get my niece to help him name his pig - It is now named Cheerio (I think that is what she was eating when she watch the video.

Let's see what else -- the Fall was EXTREMELY busy with Football and Soccer. We had some kind of practice and/or game EVERYDAY!!! and I mean everyday!!! Things are calmer now with Taylor just doing PiPs (basketball).
New job is FANTASTIC - I can not tell you how great it is to work at a job with ZERO stress!!!! I actually love coming to work again. The students are polite, work hard, and a delight to teach. Something that I did not know I was missing. The school has many incentives in place to reward the students for good behavior, good grades, and for being involved. They really respond positively to all of it.
Yes, I am counting the days till Christmas - everybody is!!! Who doesn't love days off from work with no alarm waking them up? But I will also be looking forward to school starting again in January.
So all in all Life is Good, Busy, but Good.
PS - what free time I have had I have had to spend on my Fantasy Football teams. And it looks like I have made the playoffs??!!! It was close!

Life Changes in great ways
It is funny how one major life change - career - can set off a whole chain of life changes. I am going back to school to get my Masters in Technology. I start June 24!!!! I am really excited about this change too. I think when I am finished it will open possibilities for me to move up and actually teach teachers how to use technology. So here I go ...I'm going back to school!!!! Need to find a my lunch box & get supplies - I just love NEW school supplies.

Deal is Done!!!
It is official. I am a Mile's Bulldog. Going to have to start buying Red!!! I have signed my contract and gotten keys. Now I just have to move 12 years of "stuff" from Lake View to Miles. Can anybody say 18 wheeler??? Not really -- I had two very energetic girls help me consolidate, weed through, and throw away!!! I am down to 12 boxes (1 for each year I guess), a cabinet (I bought it), a chair (paid for that too), and a podium (I restored it & will now have to paint it red & black).
I am both excited and scared -- happy and sad -- confident and nervous!!! I am looking at this as a grand adventure for myself and my boys. One we will all enjoy. So keep us in you thoughts and prayers as we start a new chapter in our lives -- Go Bulldogs!!!

Decision Time
Well I was offered the job in Brady. Starting a computer/technology Middle school program. I am flattered, nervous, and unsure. Is this the best for my family? Is this where I am suppose to go? I have until Friday to decide.
I still have about 45 applications out, interviewed at the region center last week (hopefully will know soon), and am waiting to see about interviews other places. So what do I decide? IDK?!??!?!?
I am not just deciding for me - I have my sons to consider. They are both now on board about possibly moving (even a little excited), but as a parent I have decide for ALL of us - oh to be young and free again!!!
So I will make list of pros and cons, I will ask my friends & my family, and I will always wonder - Did I make the right decision. It is HARD being a grown up!!!

Wish Me Luck
Tomorrow I am going to my first full fledge interview in my quest for new employment. I have attended a job fair, I have filled out so many applications I could do it in my sleep, and may have, but tomorrow I will actually drive to Brady and be interviewed by the Principal for a new computer position he wants to start. I am both excited and nervous (hence the fever blister-yuk). I HAVE to find a new job, I DON'T want lose my friends. I know finding a new job doesn't make you lose friends, but it will not be the same not seeing them everyday. BLAH!!!!!
Again, I HAVE to find a new job. I can not spend an entire year teaching something I do not believe in, and I do not believe in the Math TAKS test. I do not believe it prepares our kids for anything outside of school. It does not even prepare them for college. So I can NOT spend and entire year being a hypocrit and tell my kids "You need to learn this. This is important. You will use this all your life" All BULL!!!
So wish me luck on my first of hopefully many interviews. (I have another one next week!!!)

Ready for Spring
The yard is mowed. The flower beds are cleaned. The bushes are trimmed. A light rain is falling. I am ready for Spring!!! I LOVE Spring!!! The smell of fresh mowed lawns, newly turned soil, and someone bar-b-queing are three of my favorite scents!!! I am ready to plant some flowers. However I am waiting...for some reason I do not think winter is over yet.
When I am sure it is over, I will fill my front flower bed with as many blooms as I can. My sons hate going to Olive's, Lowe's, Home Depot, or any store with plants. I can spend hours going up and down the aisles looking at all the plants, reading the tags, grouping them together on the cart to see how they look, planning the planting in my head the whole time. I can honestly say I love working in my yard. I love digging in the dirt, weeding the flower beds, mulching the plants, fertilizing, watering, mowing. I get such a great sense of accomplishment every time I come home, and I see all my flowers blooming, trees growing, bushes ..... No matter how bad my day has been just seeing my yard makes me smile. I can sit and relax for hours watching the birds feed at the feeders, hummingbirds take their turns at the bushes planted just for them. So Spring - could you come sooner rather than later?

BUSY!!
One of my "friends" told me it had been 6 months since I blogged. I pointed out that Jan. 30 was the last time and obviously she can't count.
I have been busy with my sons, school drama, soccer practice, PiPs practice, work drama, and just plan tired. Sorry blog readers for letting you down.
I am currently away from all of that - work has taken me out of town again, so am finding a little time to write.
I was never really into writing in school, so that is why this blog thing does not come naturally to me. Give me a bunch of numbers, and I can do just about anything with them. Words uhhhhh..... (But I can NOT teach Math)!!!! I think that I really get imtimidated by the witty blogs of my friends, so I decided not read them today till after I wrote. So basically I am rambaling (sp???) to fill this page up. My friends will certainly let me know it too.
So for now by blog is more current!!!

Let's Change the Work Week
My sons asked really good question today. Why can't the work/school week be Saturday & Sunday and the weekend be Monday - Friday? What a great idea!!! Why can't it?
We would actually look forward to Mondays. We wouldn't count the minutes to Fridays. We could probably get all the house work done if we had five days to do it instead of two. We might actually get to enjoy a day of complete relaxation on the weekend if it was five days long instead of two. Think of all that we might accomplish if we had five days to do our chores instead of just two?!?
The entire world might slow down a little and be happier, more relaxed, more easy going. This might actually promote world peace. Maybe I will win a Nobel Peace Prize for this idea.
What do you think? How does one go about changing a world concept of work week & weekend. Any and all suggestions are welcome.

Where have the Rules gone?
For the third day in a row I have been cut off while dropping my children off at school. I drop one at an elementary and one at the junior high. What I do not understand is why these parents think they do not have to wait in the drop off line like the other 6-10 parents that are waiting? Why do they get to zoom by on the left and angle park in front of this line – effectively preventing any of us from leaving till they are done?
At both schools most of the time kids get out of 3-4 cars at one time, making the lines move fairly quickly UNTIL… that one parent who obviously is so much more important than us has to cut in front and clog everything up. My favorite is the one who then sits there signing papers, kissing goodbye, talking for 5 minutes (& yes I have timed them). Why couldn’t they have just waited in line and done all this has they waited their turn.
I know – Invisibility cloak – forgot to take it off the car. I’ll have to remember to do that this weekend!!

I want 2 hours of my life back!!!
Last night at 7pm my youngest (Taylor) was suppose to have an MRI on his elbow. Being the dutiful, responsible parent that I am, we showed up at 6:45 pm. Little did I know that was just the beginning of a LONG evening spent sitting listening to apologizes.
Someone in some office - registration - did not send all the paperwork necessary!!! We had appointment papers, insurance approval letters, but no MRI orders.
Did you know it is illegal to perform an MRI with out MRI orders? Me either, but I do now. I heard this about 20 times last night as they apologized again for making us wait as they searched computer files, offices (most were locked up), .... Finally they called in a supervisor who had to come from home in his "comfy" clothes. (Wish I had had time to do that before the big sit in). He did find the paper work on somebody’s desk in the locked offices after 8.
Now during the many apologizes I was told that there was an 8 pm MRI scheduled, but they were trying to get the paperwork for us before they showed up so they could get us in and make them wait. Great strangers mad at me!!! However they did not get the form before the 8 o'clock showed up.
Did you know all MRI's take a minimum of 30 minutes and most take 45? Me either, but now I do!!! So now at 8:05 they are telling me that we can stay and wait till this one is over & they will do Taylor's at about 9. (Are you kidding me?!?!? It is a school night, we have barely been home with PIPs, dinner, and THIS!!) So I politely informed them we would NOT be staying any longer!!!
So as we walked back to the car in the pitch black dark I realized I had just lost almost 2 hours of my life!!! Lost because of somebody did not complete their job!!! I have a real problem with that!!! One of my flaws is that I expect everybody to do their jobs as well as I do mine, and I have ZERO tolerance for people who do not!!!! So I want to find the person who forgot to put the order with the rest of the paper work and suck 2 hours from their life into mine and my boys!!!!
